Underfloor heating is one of the most comfortable and energy-efficient ways to heat your home. Unlike traditional radiators, which heat the air unevenly near the walls, underfloor heating distributes warmth evenly across the entire floor — creating a consistently comfortable environment in every room. Cathedral Gas Services designs and installs both wet (hydronic) and electric underfloor heating systems for residential and commercial properties across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Wet underfloor heating uses warm water pumped through a network of pipes laid beneath the floor. It is connected to your central heating boiler or heat pump and is the most popular choice for whole-house installations due to its energy efficiency and low running costs.
Wet UFH works at lower water temperatures than radiators (typically 35–45°C versus 65–75°C), which means it pairs exceptionally well with modern condensing boilers and heat pumps — maximising efficiency and reducing energy bills.

Electric underfloor heating uses a network of electrical heating mats or cables beneath the floor. It is easier and less disruptive to install than wet systems, making it ideal for individual rooms, retrofitting in existing properties, or areas where connecting to the central heating system isn’t practical.
